Tacview is a universal flight analysis tool which enables you to easily record, analyze and understand any flights to improve your skills much faster than with conventional debriefings. Whether you are a private pilot, a virtual squadron leader, or a casual simer, Tacview is an invaluable tool to understand what really happened and to improve piloting style as well as tactical skills. Tacview can read and record flight data from the most popular flight simulators: DCS World, Falcon 4.0, Microsoft Flight Simulator, Lockheed Martin Prepar3D, Enemy Engaged Comanche vs. Hokum, GPX and CSV files.Before downloading Tacview, please make sure that your system meets the minimum requirements and is up to date. The installation process is straightforward. For additional support please refer to the FAQ and the documentation related to your favorite flight simulator. Using Tacview with DCS World is straightforward. In most of the cases, this is a smooth and fully automated process. When you install Tacview, all the necessary scripts and settings are automatically installed so you are ready to record your first flight right away!

However, they are some rare cases where Tacview exporter cannot do its job properly. Please, read carefully the following guide to know how to get the most of DCS World and Tacview and to know how to prevent or fix potential issues.

If you can’t record any flight in multiplayer, make sure first that you can record single player flights. It is possible that your problem is coming from the multiplayer host. But it may be coming as well from your local setup!

Are you eager to know what is waiting for you in the next version? Feel free to try the latest beta version of Tacview! Even if beta versions are not as stable as public releases, they may offer you the new features and improvements you were waiting for.

We want to get as much feedback as possible from you. So we decided to grant all our registered users access to our beta versions so they can try them out, report bugs, and make suggestions earlier than ever. Or to simply let them enjoy the new incoming features one month earlier than the general public!

The original Tacview software license agreement is written in English. Any translation in another language is provided as a courtesy by members of the Tacview community and shall be used for information purposes only. Only the English language original license agreement constitutes a binding agreement between Raia Software and users downloading or using Tacview. If you found a regression, you can test previous releases, working from newest to oldest, to find the most recent version which is working for you. This will both enable you to continue to enjoy Tacview while we are fixing the bug, and help us to understand when your favorite feature has been broken.

If you are a Tacview Enterprise user with a perpetual license, you can use Tacview indefinitely. However, you must make sure that you are installing a version which has been published prior to the expiration of your support. For example, if your support has expired on 2020-02-16, then you can run Tacview up to version

Soldiers enjoy little respite from combat, even during peacetime. This situation is brought about by developments in digital combat simulators, programs that allow military personnel to stay in top shape. While not exactly providing the actual simulator, Tacview does allow pilots to play back their recorded flights and go over basic or advanced maneuvers.

The application is compatible with most popular simulators, including DCS World, Falcon 4.0, and Microsoft Flight Simulator and non-military pilots can also benefit from it by loading GPX files generated by their GPS devices.

Once a valid source document has been loaded, the program will automatically display a bird’s eye view of the flight path. A play button allows users to follow the moves of the pilot on a second-by-second basis and graphical objects that might clutter the view can be removed.

Several elements of military importance, such as SAM/AAA firing ranges can be displayed on the screen and the plane’s altitude and heading are constantly updated in a small frame. Depending on the source data, basic or advanced telemetry parameters can be viewed and a flight log keeps track of all major flight events.

Several display settings can be adjusted to the users’ needs, such as the topography of the environment (i.e. flat or 3D worlds). Detailed charts bearing various metrics can be generated and one can create CSV files from these diagrams.

Summing up, Tacview is an adequate tool for anyone involved in the field of aerial warfare. With it, pilots can trace back the mistakes made during flight simulations and detailed diagrams can be analyzed to improve overall performance and survivability.
